The Cupcake Apocalypse

Yesterday I revealed my piece for a halloween baking collaboration.   This baking collaboration is brought to you by some lovely ladies within the app, Periscope. These awesome women announced it was open to anyone who wanted to join.  I was overjoyed with the news and asked to join.  Yesterday was the live reveal on Periscope and over 20 cake decorators shared their work. Check out all the images HERE!  I hope to take part of this collab again next year, it was so much fun watching everyone broadcast their work live.  Below, is my piece:

My piece started off as a zombie chick but by the end it was more alien/reptile looking.  So, let's just call it a monster cupcake.  I'm so proud of this piece, it was my first real sculpture.  I know my Marty cake looked cool but he was pretty much a rounded square cake and stick figure body.  I made a small video to show how i made the texture on my monster's body.
